Berry Chia Seed and Kale Smoothie

This smoothie is VERY similar to the previous smoothie recipe I put up. The only difference is, really, the added kale. It may sound gross but it’s tastes so good, and you don’t really even taste the kale! Honestly. This smoothie gives you a power punch of sustainable energy to start your day with and to keep you going too. The Chia Seeds are so great at putting some protein into your body and keeping your energy levels up throughout the day. Also, I like that this smoothie is vegan. I am NOT vegan, but I still like to eat vegan things at times. I don’t really know why… ANYWAY —

Here is what is so great about Chia Seeds: Loads of antioxidants, fiber, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, niacin and zinc. Oh yeah, and something called Omega 3’s.

And here is the smoothie recipe:

1 Cup Blackberries
1 Cup Blueberries
3/4 Cup freshly squeezed orange/pineapple juice
3 TBS Chia Seeds
1 Banana
2 Hearty handfuls of Kale
