It’s Wine-Time again, get excited!
I live in the wonderful city of Green Bay but it does become not-so-wonderful around January to March-ish due to the icy weather. So what’s a girl to do to keep her warm and toasty inside?? No, not long underwear, try again… WINE. Red wine. And this new one I tried is pretty damn good. OKO is A-OKAY.
OKO is defined as ÖKO
[ÖKO: ökologie > ecology > the interrelationships of organisms in the environment]: The tree, a symbol of nature and life, provides the necessary oxygen for all things in the world to survive.
With that being said, this wine is made with organic grapes and comes from a green company. I like that. I like that a lot. And what’s even better is that this wine is delicious. The color is a very dark purple and has a strong taste of berries in the beginning. Like raspberries and blueberries perhaps? And it finishes with a not-in-your-face finish of a sweet oak flavor. More like a hint. This wine goes down real fast too, my girlfriend and I only wanted a glass each, but we kept filling our glasses with a promise of just a little bit more until the bottle was gone. This particular OKO blend is a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Merlot 40% and it was the perfect drink to keep me toasty on a Fall night, I’ll have to taste test again in a more Winter month 😉
