Peak Organic Beer

My girlfriend bought a bunch of random organic beers for us to try and she was super excited about this one in particular.  It’s an espresso amber ale.  Sounds gross, right?  That’s what I thought too, until I tried it.   It tastes just like espresso.  Bubbly espresso, actually.  It’s kinda hard to describe because it doesn’t exactly taste like beer.  Not any beer I’m used to anyway.
It starts out with a coffee aroma and with your first few sips it’s like a punch in the face with the coffee taste.  A good punch.  The flavor really tickles your taste buds.  There a chocolate taste in there and maybe some vanilla? Definitely some chocolate though.  The carbonation is perfect too.   It’s in the middle, not ultra bubbly like a Bud Light and not too thick like a Guinness.  Just like Goldilocks and the Three Beers Bears — Juuuuust Right.  The flavor/taste remains strong throughout the whole drink.  If you don’t believe me then you should believe the company.  Close to the bottom of the bottle “delicious organic beer” is printed right on the label.  See?  I’m not the only one who finds this brew tasty.     And the alcohol content is a surprising 6.8%.  I was totally buzzing after my first one.  Don’t you love it when that happens?  It’s really yummy but I don’t think I could drink more than a couple at a time.  It might be a little too sweet for my stomach.  Oh, another thing really good about this organic beer is that brewed with organic espresso beans harvested from local farmers.  Cool, huh?  And one more thing that’s important, at least to me, is that it’s fair trade certified.  Cool beer, cool company.
