Himalayan Crystal Salt

I would say I have a sweet tooth.  My mama would tell you I have sweet teeth.  Well, admist my so-called sweet teeth I also have a salt tooth.  It’s in the back and it’s hard to see but it’s there.  Salt is a nutirent your body needs and my tooth knows it.  When I say salt, I’m referring to Himalayan Crystal salt, the complete opposite from your everyday over processed table salt stripped of the actual nutrients your body craves.  Sounds like bull [deleted expletive] you say?  Well, table salt contains mainly two elements, sodium and chloride.  Himalayan Crystal salt contains 84 elements and trace minerals your body needs for optimal health. (hydrogen, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluoride, sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicum, phosphorus, sulfur, chloride, calcium, scandium, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, gallium, germanium, arsenic, selenium, bromine, rubidium, strontium, yttrium, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, ruthenium, rhodium palladium, silver, cadmium, indium, tin, antimony, tellurium, iodine, cesium, barium, lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, hafnium, tantalum, tungsten, rhenium, osmium, iridium, platinum, gold, mercury, thallium, lead, bismuth, polonium, astatine, francium, radium, actinium, thorium, protactinium, uranium, neptunium and plutonium)  Take that.  Also take these other facts about Himalayan crystal salt.  Where do you buy said salt?  It’s not really sold in your major supermarkets but there are some decent deals going on online.  Check out this and that.

And as always, don’t eat spoonfuls of this thinking more salt means more nutrients.  Just use as a substitute for your fave dishes instead of run of the mill table salt.  The average American consumes about 15 pounds of salt a year.  That’s the weight of my niece and she feels as heavy as a sack of potatoes.  If you’re going to consume that much, wouldn’t you rather it be in  a healthier form?
