Sweet Earthy Juice

Posted by on Sunday, 4 March, 2012

This simple and easy juicing recipe only has 4 veggies but it sure packs a punch for vitamins and minerals.

1 Beet ( or 2 if small )
4 Organic Carrots
4 Organic Celery Stalks
1 Organic Yellow Pepper

Slice up and juice away! While the carrots and pepper add sweetness to this juice the celery and beets certainly counteract that in the after taste. This juice is still pretty good, and it gives my body the nutrients it needs to keep me going.

Turn the Beet Around…

Posted by on Thursday, 15 December, 2011

This juice is a quick pick-me-up in the morning or in the afternoon. It’s quick to make and tastes delicious.

Here we go:

4 organic carrots
3 organic celery stalks
1 organic cucumber
1 beet

I’m not usually the biggest fan of beets, but lately I’ve been diggin’ on ’em a bit more. Maybe I’m getting used to their unique earthy flavor, or the other veggies in my juice are overpowering with their own flavors. Who knows, but try these other beet juice recipes — click here, here and here.

I don’t think it’s necessary to say that … Read the rest

Beet Carrot Celery Red Pepper and Tomato Juice

Posted by on Saturday, 22 October, 2011

Beets are not my favorite veggies. At all. Not even close. Buuuut, if I juice ’em then they’re not so bad. And beets are actually very healthy for you. Beets are loaded with Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and C. Beets are also a great source of calcium, magnesium, copper, phosphorus and iron. Celery is full of Vitamins A, B and C with rich amounts of calcium and magnesium. The Red Pepper gives you high levels of Vitamin A, C and E. Not to mention other minerals such as potassium, manganese, thiamine, molybdenum, trytophan, copper, cobalt and zinc.

Zevia Lemon Lime Twist Soda

Posted by on Friday, 15 July, 2011

Moving on down the Zevia line we tried the Lemon Lime Twist one. Back in the day I used to be a Sprite fan and since I don’t like drinking sodas full of funky junk I never get a change to drink my lemon lime soda. I’m not saying the organic soda, natural sodas or stevia infused sodas are totally healthy buuuut, I do believe that they are a much, MUCH better alternative.

Check out the ingredients in Sprite: carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, natural flavors, sodium citrate and sodium benzoate. But when you have other, … Read the rest

Zevia All Natural Black Cherry Soda

Posted by on Wednesday, 11 May, 2011

Who wants a no sugar, caffeine-free soda that still tastes great? Only in your dreams, right? Wrong! There’s this hot little natural soda floatin’ around called Zevia. It’s sweetened with the Stevia Extract and not real sugar. WTF is stevia? Well, Stevia is a South American herb that has been used as a sweetener by the Guarani Indians of Paraguay for hundreds of years. Give or take a year or two. Supposedly, the leaves of this small, green Stevia rebaudiana plant can be up to 30 times sweeter than sugar. Because this soda is blessed with stevia and not … Read the rest

Blue Sky Natural Cream Soda

Posted by on Monday, 4 April, 2011

Movin’ on down the Blue Sky line I’ve realized that there are some Blue Sky Natural Sodas that I like and some that I don’t. For the most part Blue Sky Organic ones tend are good, just the regular Blue Sky Natural sodas, but the Blue Sky Free sodas or the diet sodas are down right awful, there barely is any flavor — in my opinion. So I’ve been sticking with the Blue Sky Natural sodas and this one I tried was okay. In general I am not a huge fan of Cream Soda, but Blue Sky’s version was pretty … Read the rest

Reed’s All Natural Cherry Ginger Brew Ale

Posted by on Friday, 25 March, 2011

I love Reed’s Original Ginger Brew Ale. I love it so much that I don’t even call it soda, I call it Reed’s. It usually goes like this: a friend asks for a soda and I say I don’t have any soda, but I have a Reed’s.

I like Reed’s Ginger Ale for the fact that it’s not full of garbage. Just natural heavenly good stuff that makes a mean ginger brew. So I decided to try out their Cherry Ginger Brew Ale. And I have to say, it’s only okay. Don’t get me wrong, it is still waaaay … Read the rest

Blue Sky Organic Soda Orange Divine

Posted by on Wednesday, 2 February, 2011

Not enough can be said about Blue Sky. They make Natural soda, Organic Soda, Diet soda and more.  I’m not too into the diet ones, they have little flavor, but I do like their Natural and Organic ones.  This new one I tried is called Orange Divine.  When I was a little kid I used to LOVE grape soda and orange soda.  Don’t ask me why, I was a gross kid.  Well, it’s a good thing that Blue Sky has taken it upon themselves to make me my grape and orange soda but in a better way.  Better … Read the rest
