Reed’s Original Ginger Brew Jamaican Style

The Reed’s company has the right idea about soda.  They brew it naturally, with actual herbs and spices.  You won’t find food coloring in any of their sodas.  Or cup-fulls of sugar to enhance the taste.  Or added flavorings.  Or chemicals.  Just pure natural brewed soda.  Imagine that.

This isn’t my first experience with Reed’s ginger brew.  The first one I tried you can read about here.  That one had a little too much bite for me but I was still curious about their other flavors. This one, I think, is totally awesome.  It’s everything I want a ginger ale to be.  It was love at first sip.  The ginger flavor is not too strong, not too light.  The carbonation is right there in the middle too.  The flavor stays strong throughout the whole bottle.  It’s not just ginger you taste, the lime and lemon flavors burst through too.  And the honey.  You sure do taste the honey too.  Loved it.  Loved it.  Loved it.

The ingredients are as follows: Sparkling filtered H2O, pineapple juice from concentrate and honey, fructose, fresh ginger root (17 grams to be exact), lime and lemon juice from concentrate and spices.

Now let’s see what Canada Dry has to offer you: Carbonated Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Citric Acid, Natural Flavors, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative) and Caramel Color. MMMmmm, tasty.

With the title of  “Original” in the name you can figure out this is Reed’s first venture into natural ginger ale soda land and I think they did an amazing job.
