Blue Sky Dr. Becker Natural Soda

First off, I have to tell you how much I love this name of soda!  Dr. Becker?!?  I mean, come on, can we get a little more of a knock-off name here or what?  I’m assuming I don’t really need to explain what this natural soda is suppose to taste like.  I’ll just say it sort of rhymes with Dr. Pepper Becker.  Anyhow, I stumbled upon this brand of soda in my local grocery store.  I’ve seen it in several of the local chains here in the Mid West even.  Normally I only try to go for the organic sodas but I thought I would try out this “Made with real sugar” treat.

It pretty much tastes like a Dr. Pepper just a little less mellow on the carbonation and the flavor.  Sometimes, if I drink too quickly my eyes will tear up from all the carbonation.  So not the case here, so chug chug chug my friends.  The ingredients are as follows: Filtered Carbonated H2O, Real Sugar, Natural Cola Berry Flavors, Caramel Color (from fructose), and Tantric Acid (from grapes).  I’m not 100% comfortable with the make up of this refreshing treat but I feel that it’s FAR better than those other colas.  (Mountain Dew, Coke…)

Here’s what the actual Dr.Pepper has in it :
Carbonated Water; Imperial Pure Cane Sugar (or high fructose corn syrup); Caramel Color; Phosphoric Acid; Artificial
and Natural Flavors; Sodium Benzoate (Preservative); Caffeine.

See what I mean?  So if you don’t want to pay those pricey prices on organic sodas. stick with Blue Sky, it really does taste pretty good and it’s quite refreshing and it runs you about $.40 a can.
