I know I said this was easy made, and it IS — even if it looks complicated. Try it and you’ll see!
1lb chicken breast
1/2 medium onion
5-6 large button mushrooms
1/2 red organic pepper sliced thick
small shredded organic carrot
dash of himalayan crystal salt
several handfuls of organic baby spinach
1 tbsp red curry paste

whole wheat wraps
Place chicken breast in 2 qt slow cooker, add water until chicken in just covered then cover and heat on … Read the rest

My girlfriend bought a bunch of random organic beers for us to try and she was super excited about this one in particular. It’s an espresso amber ale. Sounds gross, right? That’s what I thought too, until I tried it. It tastes just like espresso. Bubbly espresso, actually. It’s kinda hard to describe because it doesn’t exactly taste like beer. Not any beer I’m used to anyway.
It starts out with a coffee aroma and with your first few sips it’s like a punch in the face with the coffee taste. A good punch. The flavor really tickles your taste … Read the rest

Fresh vanilla bean really makes this dessert, that fresh vanilla taste is what gives it the flavor of melted ice cream, however it is not soupy like ice cream. Instead it has the consistency of a stiff mousse. Try it and you’ll know what I mean. Serve in small scoops with this almond crumble topping. Grinding the almonds is really a breeze and takes only a couple of minutes if you have the right equipment.
For the Almond Honey Crumble Recipe
150 grams ground raw organic almonds (I grind mine with Omega’s masticating juicer)
1 Tbsp Honey
1/2 tsp Cinnamon… Read the rest

There are days when I continuously open my fridge convinced that there’s some new food to discover. It always happens when I’m in desperate need to go to the grocery store. Luckily for me I usually keep a few staples in the house for just such an occasion. I call this a garbage salad. But it’s not garbage and it’s not really salad. It’s honestly random things in my pantry and fridge that taste surprisingly good together.
1 or 2 tomatoes
1 avocado
1/2 can of organic black beans
shredded cheese — add as much or as little as you … Read the rest

It’s soda time again, get excited! I’ve decided to move down the Santa Cruz line, seeing how they offer more than a few choices to pick from AND my grocery store always has them in stock. I’ve already tried the organic root beer and I did like it, it just wasn’t my favorite. Time to see what else Santa Cruz has for me. Next up was their organic lemon lime soda. I’m not the biggest fan of lemon/lime stuff but I was curious. So why was I insisting on trying this next? Well, the monkey on mu back, one … Read the rest

New Belgium’s Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer
I like lite beers. I know they taste like piss water but I don’t care. A full bodied beer makes me feel full so tap the Rockies, I do. That is until I got on a health food kick and I wanted to see what kind of organic beers there are out there. Well, there are more in my hometown than I thought, which is a pleasant surprise. The first sixer I picked out was Mothership Organic Wit which hails from the New Belgium family. You might know them by their more popular … Read the rest

One afternoon, my friend told me about the evils that are actually in trusted brand name juices. Me being the good friend that I am, I politely listened while concentrating on not rolling my eyes. He said that it’s not just juice in my favorite bottles of goodness, it’s full of other things, things that do more harm than good. When I went home I read the label on my Campbell’s V-8. Surely, I can prove him crazy with this one. It says right on the front, 100% vegetable juice. It starts out with listing this vegetable and that one … Read the rest

Just like Snoop Dogg rapped “with his mind on his money and his money on his mind,” I’m sippin’ on Gin and Juice. Errr, make that Ging and Juice. This juice is, oh so healthy, and a great pick me up in the morning. I always wake up hungry and thirsty and this really quenches my thirst. I know people say that a juice like this in the morning can be your breakfast but not me. I need to eat too. So if this juice fills you up, great, but I wouldn’t totally count on it.

There’s not a huge selection of organic sodas in my main grocery store but they had several varieties of the Santa Cruz bubbly beverages. They sell them separately which is good and bad. Good if I don’t like ‘em, I didn’t have to spend more money on soda I most likely won’t drink. But bad if I do, ’cause then I have to make another errand run to get one item at the grocery store — which never happens. The grocery store is like Wal-Mart, you have all the intentions of picking up one item but you usually walk out … Read the rest
